Prevent users from accessing System-Link and Client-Link Request.

We had a user put a system link request into an Excel PowerQuery and requested 100,000,000 records. Needless to say, it crashed our system link server (twice). Infor suggested deployment profiles, but has anyone else been able to secure this using other means?
