Monday Morning Sessions, 9:00am - 12:00pm, $200.00 Per Session

This is the first half of our Monday AI track. We'll start our AI session with a general perspective of the realities of AI in Manufacturing.   The key considerations -  Where does the industry stand,  is your company ready for AI, do you have data and security models to support it, etc.   We will also get Infor-specific details regarding tools provided from Infor... How do they align and integrate with your ERP system,  what prerequisites are needed, etc.

inPOWER PLUS - Intro to the Infor Development Framework (IDF), NetLink for Beginners, Presenter: Francisco Daffre, Infor - Are you clueless how to make Net-Link do what everyone says it can do -- customize this and personalize that? You can take a 20-hour instructor led course with hands-on workshops from Infor U. Too much? Then how about the first 3 hours of it? You will learn a lot and get a taste of what the whole course is about.
(Students should bring their laptops with internet access.)

You'll learn how to leverage Db2 for i SQL Services to manage both your database environment and broader IBM i system operations using SQL statements. Through live demos and hands-on examples, you'll explore:

  •  SQL Services for database and system management
  •  Run SQL Scripts in IBM i Access Client Solutions (ACS)
  •  Visual Explain for query analysis
  •  SQL Performance Center for monitoring
  •  SQL Plan Cache and SQL Performance Monitor

You'll leave with working examples ready to implement in your IBM i environment, plus practical knowledge of the tools and techniques demonstrated.

inPOWER PLUS - Infor OS – FOUNDATION (Morning Session Part 1 - Afternoon session Part 2 below), Presenter: Jessica Melger, Infor - Many Infor customers are embracing the Infor OS technology, but not sure where to start, or what’s all included. inPOWER PLUS - Extending & customizing your ERP via Enterprise Integrator, (Morning Session Part 1 - Afternoon session Part 2 below), Presenters: Nora Holland, TriMin and Erin Klanderman, TriMin - This is the first half of our 5-hour hands-on training session targeting those somewhat new to Enterprise Integrator (EI) who would like to go beyond tailoring the User Interface (i.e. screen layouts) and understand the technical capabilities of EI and how to use it to augment and customize your Infor ERP installation to your organizational needs. This workshop is targeted to the technical oriented who want to explore the application extension capabilities of the EI framework by extending the UI over your user-owned database and/or programs to augment the XA user experience. We will work through exercises on logical attributes, code files, action buttons, edits and audits, field level security, discrete domains, relationships, transactions, host processes and publish and subscribe for both Infor and user-owned objects. IDF in XA will be used for class demonstrations and documentation but those using IDF in another ERP may attend and follow along as well since each student will connect to their own system and business environment to perform the class exercises. This allows students to use their own objects, tables and source files where they are most comfortable and for easy reference post-workshop!

Monday Afternoon Sessions 1:00pm - 4:00pm, $200.00 Per Session

inPOWER PLUS - AI in Manufacturing - Part 2This is the second half our our AI Session. We'll continue from our morning session, getting input from IBM, regarding IBM's key AI focuses and offerings, specifically in manufacturing and running with the IBM i platform and database. We'll wrap up with 2 real world examples of AI at work, in manufacturing companies running Infor ERP, and how they are leveraging AI technology to tap on existing data to provide strategic impact to their business.

inPOWER PLUS - Extending & customizing your ERP via Enterprise Integrator (Afternoon session Part 2 continued from morning session) - This is the second half of our 5-hour hands-on training session targeting those somewhat new to Enterprise Integrator (EI) who would like to go beyond tailoring the User Interface (i.e. screen layouts) and understand the technical capabilities of EI and how to use it to augment and customize your Infor ERP installation to your organizational needs. See complete description above.

InPOWER PLUS - IBM i System Security, Scott Forstie, IBMIn this one-of-its-kind workshop, Scott Forstie (aka the SQL Tutor) will teach you how to think like a "bad actor", review your security posture on IBM i, and use SQL to close security attack vectors.

Scott will explore the many ways that attackers attempt to subvert IBM i security, including:

  •  SQL Injection attacks and prevention techniques
  •  Privilege escalation vulnerabilities and how to close them
  •  Discovering and protecting unprotected objects
  •  Using SQL Services to audit and strengthen security
  •  Implementing security best practices with Db2 for i

Through hands-on demonstrations and practical examples, you'll learn evaluation techniques and  protective measures to discover and eliminate attack vectors within your IBM i and Db2 for i environment. Leave with actionable SQL scripts and security assessment strategies you can implement immediately.

inPOWER PLUS - Infor OS – Foundation (Afternoon session Part 2 continued from morning session) Presenter: Jessica Melger, Infor - We’ll leverage the morning’s content to continue down the Infor OS path. Topics will include extended functions in Infor OS - the Data Lake, Security, Single Sign-On, API Gateway, etc… Those who attend both the morning and afternoon sessions will have satisfied one of the recommended prerequisites to proceed with the second prerequisite through Infor U Campus, to then register to attain Infor OS Associate Certification.

inPOWER PLUS - Intro to the Infor Development Framework (IDF) - Integrator for Beginners, Presenter: Francisco Daffre, Infor - Do you know how to create new functions in Net-Link? It requires a tool called Integrator, and it lets you create new objects indistinguishable from the ones you already have. That is, they look and act and interact just like the ones from Infor. You can take an 8-hour (basic) or 20-hour (full) instructor led course through Infor U, and we’ve brought the first four hours to inPOWER. You will learn what Integrator can do, complete with instructors and hands-on workshops. (Bring their laptop with internet access.)

inPOWER PLUS - Meet IBM Bob, your new development partner - This hands-on workshop demonstrates how IBM Bob transforms IBM i development by addressing three critical challenges: understanding IBM i native code, accelerating development, and enabling systematic modernization. - Code Understanding: IBM Bob rapidly analyzes complex RPG, COBOL, SQL, CL, and DDS codebases to decode business logic, map dependencies, and generate comprehensive documentation—dramatically reducing the learning curve for new developers and enabling faster maintenance. - Intelligent Development: Generate complete programs, display files, and database structures from natural language requirements while maintaining best practices and organizational standards. Developers focus on business logic while IBM Bob handles repetitive coding tasks. - Systematic Refactoring: Enable incremental modernization by converting fixed-format to free-form RPG, migrating DDS to SQL DDL, and modularizing monolithic programs—all while preserving business logic and minimizing risk. Participants will gain hands-on experience using IBM Bob to analyze existing applications, generate new code, and refactor legacy systems using modern best practices.

inPOWER PLUS - LX Concepts & Applications for Power Users and New Hires - Session 2: Advanced Inventory & Bills of Material  - Continue building your expertise with a deeper dive into Inventory Management before exploring Bills of Material (BOMs)—the foundation of manufacturing planning and product structure. Learn how inventory and BOM information work together to support planning, production, costing, and operational efficiency throughout the enterprise.
