inPOWER took place this year from September 22-25 in the same location as last year. This time, the MJR fair team consisted of Michael Raber, Marcel Kosel, Jan Philipp Raber and Julia Eberle. Here is a short recap on this year’s fair.
Monday (EIUG): The first session of Michael was at 10 am together with Charles Hood from ISE about our Purchase Order Workflow. It was directly after the opening keynote that day. They have prepared their presentation very well filled the two hours it went quite well. You can can find the presentation here to download. Also the questions from the audience were very constructive and stimulated the discussions about the topic in a very good way.In the second session of the day, Michael spoke about IoT and XA, based on some recent projects and the PoC. Also about the microcontroller taking pictures and attach it to XA objects. The slides are here.In the INFOR partner meeting we also got a slot to explain the AI „showcase“ project to the XA partners, which was a great opportunity to show our knowledge.
Tuesday (inPower day 1): Julia and Jan Philipp presented Uploadia and the room was packed as never before. We had over 40 people in the room, so that there weren‘t even enough chairs. We got great feedback about this sessions from partners and some customers. The slides are here for download.
Wednesday (inPower day 2): was the only day we had no presentations, but we attended some sessions.
Thursday (inPower day 3): Michael supported Todd Donzelli from Infor in his session and spoke again about a potential AI project. MJR is the first partner in the Infor AS/400 community, running an AI project. We are happy we picked up this opportunity during a workshop in Stockholm.
On all three days participants were able to get detailed information at the MJR stand or a personal Uploadia live demo. If you missed the opportunity for a live demo, you can contact us here. Unfortunately, we had fewer visitors at our stand as the conference schedule was very busy with presentations and workshops and the location of the trade fair was changed at the hotel. But still: we got some leads from the presentation and some of the interested customers asked for a test license of Uploadia. So we are expecting a lot of work here too.Our booth was again directly next to the InterForm booth. So we were again neighbours to our partner and CEO of Interform Peter Sørensen.
Of course we had some fun there, too. The executives of the show were again very imaginative in designing the evening program. Tuesday evening was rainy, but we had some fun at „the evening under the stars“ (in fact it was under the clouds, but anyway). We had really good food and burgers served from food trucks and a good networking time.
Wednesday was like coming home for us. We had a „Oktoberfest“ in the US, with two guys playing traditional German and Austrian music with accordion. It felt a bit strange, watching US guys to celebrate a german style party, but we also had a lot of fun that night. In fact we had to tell them that not every German is wearing Lederhosen, but only a few parts of Bavaria.
All in all we had a lots of interesting conversations with our partners, customers and new leads. Uploadia is still very interesting for the XA community. Our network and connections have grown once again. It again succeeded to raise MJR’s profile and services beyond the borders of Germany. There is much more to tell, way too much for a single post.
But by the way: the date for 2025 is already fixed on 22.-25.09.2025. The location at the Ingleside will be the same. Overall, the trade fair was another success for MJR and the team had successful and exciting days in Chicago and Milwaukee. We are already looking forward to being there again at the next inPOWER.
