Reasons for an upgrade on NG2 Output Management

The main reason to work with InterForm NG2 was the change of the ERP-system. Since Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise (known as Infor LN) already worked with XML-files, the decision was clear. The goal was to standardize documents across the company. It was one of the first installations using Infor LN & InterForm NG2 worldwide.

The benefits of InterForm NG2

With the new designer software, which InterForm NG2 includes, there were endless possibilities to design the internal and external output documents and files easily. Another benefit is that the NG2 solution is Windows-, Linux- and AS/400-based. Precipart has a lot of homegrown apps and NG2 is more flexible to connect to those apps. Because of the platform independency, NG2 is very flexible to work with other systems. The new ERP-system LN generates and delivers XML-data, XML-conversion was no longer required. Precipart also uses the Inter-Excel-plugin and the UDBC-plugin for their labels.

The whole data processes

The main focus of the project was to change the ERP system. As the Infor LN Cloudsuite was already able to generate and deliver the appropriate XML data, XML conversion was no longer necessary. As a result, the ERP already supplied the appropriate data for InterForm NG2, which then provided the data for the appropriate output formats such as email or label printing.
